Seeking a full day rail trail adventure with a bit of everything? This is the ride for you. Start your day in historic Beechworth with breakfast surrounded by gold rush buildings at Project Forty Nine and coffee from a colourful converted horse float at Little NEV. Once fuelled grab your bike and head to the Old Railway Station to begin your ride with 18km of downhill free-wheeling fun to Everton Station. On route pause at family-run, biodynamic Pennyweight Winery to taste local favourites drops. At Everton stop to catch your breath and treat yourself to a cheeky old fashioned milkshake at the general store (you've earned it).
The next part of your journey is on shared quiet country roads. Follow the signs over Ovens River and into the township of Milawa for a local produce tasting feast. Taste cheeses at Milawa Cheese Company, indulge at Ava Milawa, sip famous wines at Brown Brothers Winery and more. Hop on your pre-arranged shuttle or return the way you came - just remember what goes down must go up.
